When Baltimore’s Archbishop Keough called on the Sisters of Mercy to administer Stella Maris in 1953, the vision was to build Stella Maris as the leader in senior care and housing through service based on compassion, trust and respect. For 50 years, Stella Maris has been a leader in providing care to the Baltimore area’s elderly. Our reputation continues today, in large part due to our staff. Highly trained and professional, the Stella Maris team includes nurses, certified nursing assistants, social workers, chaplains, therapists and other caregivers. A large pool of dedicated volunteers who offer their time and talents to Stella Maris enhances the care and comfort of our patients and residents.
