The cost of nursing care at Stella Maris varies according to the unit of placement and the level of care your loved one requires. However, the usual cost ranges between $5,000 and $6,000 per month. These costs are commensurate with similar nursing homes in Central Maryland. Stella Maris accepts many forms of payment, including privately paying for care from your own financial resources, Medicare and other third party insurance reimbursement for skilled care, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement for hospice care, and Medicaid reimbursement for those patients without other financial resources. Is there a waiting list for residence at Stella Maris? Stella Maris does not keep a waiting list. Stella Maris has 448 beds in ten nursing units and placement is made as beds are available. Our residents and patients are from every creed and religion.
